OxPL-apoA Test

OxPL-apoB Test

Oxidized Phospholipids on apolipoprotein B (OxPL-apoB) is a specialized cardiovascular biomarker test that measures the level of oxidized phospholipids on all apoB-containing lipoproteins (including LDL, VLDL, and Lp(a)) — molecules closely linked to vascular inflammation and atherosclerosis. Elevated OxPL-apoB levels are pro-inflammatory and associated with accelerated plaque formation in artery walls, correlating with higher risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and other major cardiovascular events. Clinically validated research shows individuals with markedly elevated OxPL-apoB values have a significantly increased risk (about 2–3×) of cardiovascular disease compared with those in lower ranges, and this test can improve risk stratification beyond traditional lipid measures.
